Firecrawl MCP Server
Firecrawl’s MCP server provides web search, page scraping, site crawling and structured content extraction.
What it does
Firecrawl’s MCP server provides web search, page scraping, site crawling and structured content extraction.
Get started
Follow the server README for its supported transport, installation, credentials and client configuration. Compatibility depends on the client and server transport; no individual client has been runtime-tested by this directory.
Setup takes place on the publisher’s site. Some tools require accounts, API keys, a compatible host or paid services. Review permissions before connecting.
Connect with Cursor
Requirements
Cursor, Node.js and npx, plus a Firecrawl account and API key for this documented local command setup. The README lists Cursor 0.45.6+ and shows 0.48.6 configuration. Service costs and quotas are not verified by this directory.
Follow Running on Cursor in the publisher README. Add its npx-based firecrawl-mcp configuration to Cursor’s MCP settings, provide FIRECRAWL_API_KEY privately, and refresh the server list. This setup uses the local command path; hosted keyless and OAuth paths are documented separately.
Publisher-documented Cursor local command integration. The guide contains version-specific UI labels; no claim is made that every current Cursor UI or Cloud Agents setup has been tested.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary-source Cursor instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested.
Connect with Claude Desktop
Requirements
Claude Desktop, Node.js with npx, and a Firecrawl account and API key for this local command configuration. Service costs and quotas are not verified by this directory.
Open Usage with Claude Desktop. Add its documented mcp-server-firecrawl entry to claude_desktop_config.json using npx and firecrawl-mcp, then supply FIRECRAWL_API_KEY privately. Fully quit and reopen Claude Desktop, then inspect the available server tools.
Publisher-documented local command integration with Claude Desktop. Hosted endpoints and the legacy Smithery installer are separate paths, outside this binding.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary publisher client instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested. Service pricing and client account entitlements were not verified.
Connect with VS Code
Requirements
VS Code with MCP support, Node.js with npx, and a Firecrawl account and API key for this local command configuration. Client access, service costs and quotas are not verified by this directory.
Open Running on VS Code and use the publisher’s NPX installation button, or its .vscode/mcp.json example. Keep the password-style apiKey input for FIRECRAWL_API_KEY, enter your key privately, then review and start the configured server in VS Code.
Publisher-documented native VS Code MCP integration using the local firecrawl-mcp command. This is separate from the Claude Code extension and the hosted Firecrawl endpoint options.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary publisher client instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested. Service pricing and client account entitlements were not verified.
