Get started
Follow the server README for its supported transport, installation, credentials and client configuration. Compatibility depends on the client and server transport; no individual client has been runtime-tested by this directory.
Setup takes place on the publisher’s site. Some tools require accounts, API keys, a compatible host or paid services. Review permissions before connecting.
Connect with Cursor
Requirements
Cursor and Node.js 18 or newer, with npx available for the documented local command.
Open Getting started, expand Cursor, and follow its manual setup: add an MCP server in Cursor settings using command type and the documented npx invocation. The section also provides an installation button.
Publisher-documented local command-based Cursor MCP integration. No Cursor Cloud Agents compatibility is claimed.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary-source Cursor instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested.
Connect with Claude Desktop
Requirements
Claude Desktop and Node.js 18 or newer, with npx available. The documented local configuration does not include a server API key. Client access, usage limits and any third-party website accounts are not verified by this directory.
Open Getting started and expand Claude Desktop. Follow its linked local MCP guide to edit Claude Desktop’s configuration, then add the publisher’s standard playwright entry using npx and @playwright/mcp@latest. Save the configuration and restart Claude Desktop as the linked guide describes.
Publisher explicitly documents Claude Desktop with its local command configuration. This binding is for Claude Desktop, not Claude Code or a hosted Claude connector.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary publisher client instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested. Service pricing and client account entitlements were not verified.
Connect with VS Code
Requirements
VS Code with MCP support and access to its GitHub Copilot agent, plus Node.js 18 or newer and npx. The documented local configuration does not include a server API key. Client access, usage limits and any third-party website accounts are not verified by this directory.
Open Getting started, expand VS Code, and use the publisher’s VS Code installation button or its code --add-mcp example for @playwright/mcp@latest. Follow the linked VS Code MCP guide to review and start the configured server, then select its tools in the agent.
Publisher documents native VS Code MCP integration for GitHub Copilot agent use. This is not installation into the Claude Code extension.
Source checked 2026-10-14. Primary publisher client instructions, setup-page HTTP availability and exact HTML section anchor checked; installation, authentication and runtime behavior not tested. Service pricing and client account entitlements were not verified.
